Yes! you read that right! Vehicle owners no longer require to send their cars or motorcycles for Puspakom inspection if the vehicle's road tax has expired not more than 3 years, starting 4th of September 2020.
The decision to revise such policy that was previously 1 year or 24 months is now extended to 3 years or 36 months is in the interest of the government to help Malaysians that are undergoing financial constrains said the Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong.
In times as such, it would serve as a relaxation measure to help Malaysian to reprioritise their finances. However it is advisable to ensure that your road tax and insurance is valid when you are using your vehicle on the road or especially to those that are taking your beloved 2 wheels machine out for weekend Gohtong rides. It is always better to abide by the rules and regulation to avoid unnecessary charges/fines as well as to be a responsible road user.
